3. No Smoke. Healthy. Extends the lifespan of people:

Research conducted by Harvard University on the health effects of vehicle exhaust fumes estimates that, in India about 10,000 people die every single day due to respiratory complications caused by vehicle fumes.

Source:

3000 people died every day during the peak Corona nationwide lock down days. The respiratory diseases / deaths caused by vehicle fumes is 3 times more severe than the peak corona days. And it has been happening for many years, unnoticed. In perspective, 3 times more than the emergency measures taken for containing Corona needs to be taken for containing the vehicle fumes on an emergency basis.

Converting the vehicles into Battery Hybrids is the best way to contain the problems of toxic fumes.

5. Environment Friendly. Protects coastal cities from Global Warming :

Carbon dioxide, CO2, one of the many toxic constituents of vehicle fumes, causes Global Warming. It melts the glaciers in Alaska, Himalayas etc. which raises the sea level. IPCC, an International Climate monitoring organisation,  warned in its recent report that, many of the coastal cities in the world are at risk of being inundated in the coming years, due to this rise in the sea water level.

In India, the coastal cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Thoothukudi, Cochin, Mangalore are at high risk according to the report.

Converting the vehicles into Battery Hybrids is the best way to contain the CO2 emissions. It will protect our coastal cities from reaching the stages of our ancient cities like Dwarka and Poompukar.

Climate Change is a one way road. If we don’t act now, we cannot act later.  It is Now or Never.

6. Huge Savings on the Precious Foreign Exchange:

More than 80 % of the Petrol / Diesel we use every day is imported. It is the major and No 1 contributor to our import bill ( ~ 25% ) . Second is Gold imports ( 5% ) and third is Machineries ( 4 % ).

India does not have much petroleum. But all of our electricity is produced in India.

By converting the vehicles to Electric, we will progress well in the direction of Athmanirbar, and also save 25 % of our import bill and precious foreign  exchange.

7. Provides Protection from the Future Petrol Price Hikes:

About 120 years ago, the total petroleum reserves in the world was ~ 5 T Barrels. Since the invention of automobiles, we have been slowly extracting from this reserve, but the rate of extraction has been going up exponentially. In 1970,  we had a reserve of ~ 3 T barrels and now we have just around 1 T barrels left. To quench the thirst of about 1.5 B vehicles today, we have been extracting this meager reserve at an extremely high rate.

This decrease in reserves and increase in the demand, will lead to a huge demand supply gap. As per the research reports of world renowned geologist Dr. Hebbert,  this  would result in steep price raises in the coming years.

Converting the vehicles into Battery Hybrids would offer immunity to the forthcoming steep petrol price hikes.

8. Significant reduction in public transport costs:

In the costs of public transport , like auto, taxi etc..  about  30 – 40 % are fuel costs. A significant reduction in the fuel expense will surely have a good reduction in the  transport fares.

9. Greatly helps in Controlling Inflation. The prices of all essential commodities will come down significantly:

In the economic methods of measuring inflation, the weightage of fuel is significant ( in WPI, CPI baskets ).

We can easily notice the price of all commodities like milk, vegetables, groceries, etc.. going up whenever the petrol / diesel prices go up.

Changing to battery mode will save 95 % of the fuel costs. This will lead to a significant reduction in the prices of all commodities. This will greatly help in keeping the inflation under control.

10. The huge Capital investment already made on Petrol Vehicles will be saved:

When Petrol  Vehicles are converted into battery Hybrids, most of the sub assemblies of the vehicles are repurposed as such. Only small additions and modifications are made. This will protect the huge investment made on the existing Petrol / Diesel vehicles.
